What the lady ROxy has mentioned is actually French Tips. French manicure is usually done on natural or fake nails. It involves applying a nude (or slightly tinted) base coat and applying white polish using a brush and guides or using a stencil and an airbursh. This is finally sealed with a high gloss top coat lasts abt a week. it costs about $10-15. U can have it done at any nail art salonFrench manicure?
whether you receive tips or sculped nails depends on if you have a natural nail to work with. depending on where you go depends on the cost. If you are talking about just a manicure about 18.00 if you are putting on fake nails 20.00 to 35.00. DO NOT ALLOW SOMEONE TO USE ELECTIC DRILLS ON YOU NAILS UNLESS THE CAN SHOW PROOF THEY ARE CERTIFIED. also check to see how they sterlize there equiptment, also ask if they use mmi in there products. this is illeagle in the usa. Iam a licenced nail tech, and there is too much infection going on the the us due to certain salons trying to make a buck. not sure where you are but you can email me cntrylady012006@yahoo.com to ask for question rather you were safe
with a french manicure, they place acrylic tips on your nails and then cover them with more acrylic to make them appear more real. they dont do a french manicure on your real nails. it costs anywhere between 25-60 dollars depending on the place and the person you are boing to and if you want them painted or not. the nails last around 2 weeks until you have to get them ';filled'; which is when they add more acrylic to the root of your nails to make them last even longer. when you get them filled, it costs around 15-30 dollars depending on where and who does it. you can only get them filled once and then they will simply come off 2-3 weeks after you get them filled. i hope that i was a help to you...
