Yes. You can have a regular ';Natural Manicure'; instead of the acril or gel.

They can still take care of your nails, but keep them the same lenght.

Also... try to always use gloves around the house.

Most of the product don't only give you dry skin... but some of them are so strong, that they could give you serious skin problems.

Then, the best ever is Lubriderm.

But also Aveeno and Neutrogena are very good.Dry hands %26amp; Manicure question!?
use good lotion on them
I've had only one manicure and I really wasn't that impressed. A half hour at the salon is a drop in the bucket compared to daily care at home. I recommend that you use a good moisturizing lotion on your hands and a cuticle oil around the nails. Just do clear polish until the nails grow out a bit. Give it about a month. Then, if you really want a manicure from the salon, go ahead, but it will be the improved condition of your hands that makes it work.

Good luck.
i have the same dry hands bad nails problem what im more concered about at the moment is my hands,. i moisten my hands a little iwth water and then apply some lotion all over. then depending on how dry they feel il put just some regula gloves over them
Why do you not wear rubber gloves? Probable wearing gloves while cleaning is the solution!
Okay first either moisturize your hands every time after dishes or wear gloves. Yes, I have relatively short nails and I get manicures all of the time. Make sure all of your nails are even by using nail clippers or a nail file. After getting them done put a clear top coat on it 2 times a day so they won't come off during the dishes!!!!
Excessive dry hands. Go to pharmacy area and get rose glycerin. Hand lotions all have this in them. The 'better working' lotions just have a higher percentage. Rest of lotion is for creaminess, color or perfume. Have paper towels handy. Apply full strength %26amp; rub this oily stuff on your hands; dab off excess. Let it 'soak' into hands for 3-5 minutes before you wash your hands.

For entire body, put a good squirt of baby oil in bathtub %26amp; roll around in the water for full coating and use washcloth on face. Dab body dry. Clean tub with same washcloth and dish liquid to remove oil ring. Rarely, but have even soaked hair %26amp; scalp, too. Shampooed when done with bath.
yes you can have short nail manicures try the mary kay line of hands of silk products
You can get a manicure done with short nails. Getting a manicure doesn't always mean getting fake nails put on or color for that matter. It's usually a soak, a massage, and nail care.
